About Me

My work is grounded in a longstanding relationship with language and craft. First and foremost, I am a poet. In 2017, dancing girl press published my book, Things We Have in Writing POEMS for (Z). I also hold an MFA in Writing from California College of the Arts, and I have been published in a number of literary magazines.

Over time, igniting students' creativity and helping them unlock their stories became a central part of my work. I have been teaching in the First-year Writing program at Drexel University since 2018.

For more than five years, I have also worked closely with premed students on their written applications for medical school. Supporting students throughout this process has been especially meaningful to me because of the trust it requires, and because I know that one day, they could care for me or someone I love.

I can't guarantee that you'll get into medical school, but I do have a strong track record. For the last five years at MedSchoolCoach, I worked with 30-40 applicants per cycle, offering individualized support through every phase of the writing process.

During the 2024/2025 cycle, all of my students were accepted to at least one medical school.
